Keystone Human Services and Mikayla’s Voice Plan Merger
2-17-2026
Keystone Human Services and Mikayla’s Voice have announced their intention to explore a merger that would bring together two organizations deeply committed to belonging and opportunities in the community. Driven by similar missions, both organizations emphasize creating welcoming environments where people with disability – and all people – can thrive.
Based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Mikayla’s Voice develops and coordinates unique and innovative programs that allow youth with and without disabilities to work and play together. They partner with schools to build a positive school culture, with programs including:
School-wide assemblies
Art programs
Middle and high school mentor program
Books for children to promote inclusion, kindness, and friendship
Emphasizing the significance of the partnership, Rita Cheskiewicz, Executive Director of Mikayla’s Voice, shared, “At Mikayla’s Voice, our work has always been rooted in creating school and community environments where every child is valued and included. This planned merger with KHS and Mikayla’s Voice will strengthen that mission. It is an important step toward our sustainability, enhancing impact and reach.”
“KHS and Mikayla’s Voice share similar vision and values,” added Kris Weaver, KHS Vice President of Development. “The work of Mikayla’s Voice has shown how powerful it is when children and youth are encouraged to welcome and accept one another, transforming school communities and inspiring lasting change. By working together, we hope to amplify this impact across communities.”
Under the agreement, Mikayla’s Voice will become a program of KHS, operated under the Keystone Partnership.
A formal announcement is expected in early Spring 2026.
