What is an Educational Improvement Tax Credit?
The Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, enacted by the Pennsylvania Legislature in 2001, allows businesses to direct a portion of their state tax dollars to approved Educational Improvement Organizations (EIOs) like Mikayla’s Voice. By supporting innovative inclusive K-12 programming.
Companies receive a 75% tax credit for a one year donation or 90% for a two year commitment. Administered by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development, EITC is a meaningful way for businesses to invest in innovative educational programs in their communities.
Mikayla’s Voice is an approved EIO organization for the following K-12 programs:
• School-Wide Assemblies
• Wheels of Friendship Art Program
• Kaya’s Kaleidoscope Art Program
• Artwork Unveiling
• Four Children’s Books
• Mikayla’s Voice Bookshelf
• Mikayla’s Voice Enrichment Website
• Middle & High School Mentor Program
